Darrell Hulsey started his career in 1991 with a medical billing & practice management firm in the Southeast as a Regional Operations Manager. In 1994, Mr. Hulsey joined a team of 6 others (including Mr. Bush) in founding what grew to become one of the most successful medical billing & practice management firms in the US. Mr. Hulsey served as a Vice President of Operations for this national firm which grew to become the second largest in its industry, with over 80 offices in 27 states and roughly 8,000 healthcare providers as clients. He became a Business Unit Leader of that same company in 2007 and oversaw a 60% growth in its revenue as a subsidiary of a public firm. In 2013, he oversaw a transaction that took the company back private.
In his career, Mr. Hulsey has specialized in operations management, practice management, regulatory compliance, information system design/implementation, strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hulsey is a 1991 graduate of the University of Alabama with degrees in Health Administration and Accounting. He is an Owner of PBI, and serves as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Doug Bush is a CPA and a 1986 graduate of The University of Texas with a degree in Accounting. Mr. Bush began his career with the Public Accounting firm of Ernst & Young in their Houston, TX office. In 1991, he joined a medical billing and practice management firm in the Southeast as a Regional Financial Manager. In 1994, Mr. Bush joined a firm of 6 others (including Mr. Hulsey) in founding what grew to become one of the most successful medical billing and practice management firms in the US. For 10 years, Mr. Bush served as a Business Unit Leader for this national firm which grew to serve more than 6,000 physicians in more than 25 states and maintained more than 2,000 employees prior to his departure.
During his career, Mr. Bush has provided a wide array of services to physicians and medical practices in various specialties across the country. He is a member of various organizations, including the MGMA and the Texas & Alabama Societies of CPAs. Mr. Bush joined PBI in 2008 where he is proud to carry on its tradition of Client Service. Mr. Bush is an Owner of PBI and serves as its President & CFO.
David Levins joined PBI in 1995 to work along side his father and PBI’s founder, Tom E. Levins. He has worked in all areas of the company, performing every task related to medical billing. Starting in a data entry position and eventually working his way up to an account manager, he is familiar with all aspects of the medical billing process. David Levins is also highly skilled in the area of Data Analytics, helping to provide critical insight into the operational aspects of all departments within PBI.
Mr. Levins earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in English from Auburn University at Montgomery. He is also a Certified Professional Coder and Radiology Certified Coder. Mr. Levins is an Owner of PBI and serves as its Vice President and COO.
Richard Parrish has provided billing and practice management services for a wide variety of physicians and practices since obtaining his Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Alabama in 1997.
During his career, he has specialized in reviewing and assessing billing operations and providing revenue management solutions for optimal reimbursement and compliance. Prior to joining PBI, Mr. Parrish spent 15 years with a national billing and practice management company. Mr. Parrish is an Owner of PBI and serves as its Executive Vice President of Operations.
