Provider Credentialing
PBI provides a comprehensive credentialing service to enroll physicians properly with third-party payers and to obtain provider numbers linking them to the practice or network. This service requires a high degree of expertise and a relationship with each payer that ensures all paperwork is completed in a timely manner and includes all necessary documents.

As part of our credentialing service, we follow the application process through the procurement of numbers, notify you when licenses are about to expire and maintain a provider database for future applications.

Financial Services in addition to our Accounts Receivable Management, we offer complete Accounts Payable Management and Payroll Processing with Direct Deposit for many of our clients. Some of the services we provide are:

• All payroll functions through quarterly reports, W-2s and ACH direct deposits
• Receipt and payment of payables approved by your management
• Monthly bank reconciliation to bank and general ledger balances
• Prepare all required monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports for you or your designated accounting firm

Customized Reports
In addition to the various standard analysis reports, we provide a complete report customization service. In most cases, if we have captured the information in our system, we are able to produce a report from it.

Hospital Interfaces
Our powerful industry standard HL7 (Health Level 7) interface engine allows us to interface to any compliant data source whether it's patient demographics from hospital mainframes, electronic lab results or transcriptions from hospitals or transcription services. If you have a current need for an HL7 interface, we will research and determine the cost associated to complete the interface.

Technology Services
We offer complete remote access to your practice information using state-of-the-art secure and encrypted technology developed by Microsoft and Cisco Systems. We use various methods to provide you with connectivity to our office including PIX-to-PIX Virtual Private Networks (VPN) using inexpensive broadband Internet services provided by local internet carriers (i.e. Bellsouth, Charter, Roadrunner, and Knology).

Read-only Access
With Read-only access to patient accounts, you are able to look at patient balances and account histories, from within your office, resolving any patient concerns during their visit.

Appointment Scheduling
Complete appointment scheduling for an unlimited number of physicians and/or resources, overnight patient eligibility, laser printed encounter forms, and complete read-only access to patient accounts.

EMR Package
The federal government is mandating that all providers eventually implement an EMR/EHR product. Professional Billing offers to its clients a fully integrated solution that has been developed expressly for our billing service clients. This package includes an extensive template library with easy to customize templates, a speedy installation procedure with no operating system or database licensing issues, efficient online training methods that facilitate quick learning, and an overall hassle-free process that will have the end user up and running in no time, thereby allowing his or her transition to EMR in the most effective and valuable manner. If your office already employs another EMR package, we can also write an interface for it to offer a seamless transition from your current billing system to ours.

Disaster Recovery Options
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and many other disasters of late, the need to store data off-site has become readily apparent. Professional Billing offers its clients the option of storing their data off-site electronically. By utilizing the Scanning Solution you can transition your office into a “paperless office” by tapping into our extensive data storage capacity. We operate with a level of redundancy that ensures that your data is secure. So, if something catastrophic were to happen to your physical location, we can assist you in getting back to business with minimal down-time governed only by your ability to purchase a computer terminal and find a place to plug it in. It’s that simple.

Document imaging
Scan encounter forms, face-sheets, and insurance cards directly into our Electronic Practice and Document Management system. Using this method you will; 1) no longer need to copy and prepare documents for courier pickup, 2) have peace of mind that all documents sent to our office have been received, and 3) have all scanned medical documents available to you on a patient-by-patient basis.
